Internships
Our internship program gathers students from across the country who think outside the box and thrive on finding new ways to address challenges. Summer internships run for 9 weeks. Participants gain experience in construction operations and support functions to shape their careers in the construction industry. It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn from the best in the industry.
Suffolk internships offer

Field Operations: Engineers in a field role help lay the foundation of the project and coordinate the site's details. Work with field supervision to assist with Safety procedures, project and trade partner coordination, verification of field conditions, and quality control.
What our interns
are saying-
“At Suffolk, you aren’t just an intern. You are an equal member of the team and will be tackling the same issues and solving the same problems as your full-time teammates. You aren’t going to, nor are you expected to know everything. Suffolk stands out for its ability to help young, motivated people grow their knowledge and skills in the industry. Everyone is busy, but they will never be too busy to help you.”
“The Suffolk internship is totally immersive, and you are presented with new challenges and opportunities to further your knowledge every day. The superintendent who was my mentor & supervisor provided a great balance of helping me along when I needed it, but also expected me to find my own way and be independent. The program propelled me to see the world in a different way, with a new perspective on the buildings you see, work, play, and live in.”
“If you earn the opportunity to go from intern to full-time at Suffolk, it is an amazing opportunity. You will have the chance to be ahead of the curve of your fellow Career Starts, allowing you to help them adjust at orientation and their first couple of months.”
